Archaeology In Action

This summer we are working with the Ripon History & Archaeology Tribe (RHAT) to carry out some archaeological activities on Hell Wath. 

To this end there will be RHATs metal detectorists on site during the day today to see if they can identify interesting areas before small pits are dug to see what site history can be unearthed.

RHATs welcome any of the members coming to see them in action as well anyone who would be interested in learning how to metal detect. There will be further sessions over the next few weeks as they survey the site in preparation for the summer digs.
