Helping Bats To Thrive on Hell Wath

Catching a glimpse of a bat as dusk is a real thrill. In August 2022 our local bat group organised a bat walk and this has sparked interest in doing more for the bat populations on Hell Wath.

Working with the local bat group we are looking at siting about 30 bat boxes on trees within Hell Wath and taking part in the National Bat Monitoring Programme. This will involve some training and a commitment to completing the monitoring of bat species on a regular basis ( like we do for butterflies ). Watch out for details on our Forthcoming Events.
