Log Benches

FOHW are delighted to have another log bench on Hell Wath. Kindly sourced from Fountains Abbey from a tree felled by storms, the log has been installed at the top of the Giant Steps providing a great place to sit and get your breath back after the climb up !

Thanks to Gabby and the Skell Valley Project for arranging to have the log transported from Studley Deer Park to Hell Wath.

Some of you may have noticed a large tree on Hell Wath, recently brough down by high winds. The tree is currently blocking a path and North Yorkshire Council have been made aware. The plan is to retain a large piece of tree truck from this tree as another log bench on site.
